An Italia privateer who successfully raced Ferrari sports cars in the 1950s. He made one attempt at F1 driving a Connaught in the Belgian Grand Prix in 1956.
Scotti was an Italian businessman in the import-export and mineral water business. He was also a successful privateer racing driver who drove Ferrari sports cars in the early 1950s.
He took third place in the 1951 Mille Miglia, and sharing a works car with Farina to won the Casablanca 12 Hours. He continued to find success in minor events

In 1953 he purchased a right hand drive maroon and silver 250 MM Vignale Spyder. He entered it in the Mille Miglia in April with Giulio Contini but they failed to finish. They followed this with another DNF n the Targa Florio. A 9th in the GP Supercortemaggiore at Monza was followed by a win Coppa della Consuma Hillclimb in July. He took another win in the IC Aosta-Gran San Bernardo hillclimb later the same month. In August he came 6th in the Circuito di Senigallia and another DNF in the 12 hour race at Pescara. He then sold the car to Porfirio Rubirosa.
In 1956 he bought an F1 Connaught on hire purchase and took seventh in the International Trophy, but after the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa he returned the car to the factory and gave up racing.
