Buenos Aires, Argentina...Alan Jones won the Argentine GP in a Williams. Jones was the pole winner and led 46 of the 53 laps, taking the checkered flag 24 seconds ahead of the Brabham of Nelson Piquet with Keke Rosberg coming home 3rd in a Fittipaldi. Alain Prost made his GP debut in a McLaren and finished 6th, earning a point in his first start.
