Alain de Changy

A sports car specialist who tried and failed to qualify for the Monaco GP in 1959.

Alain de Changy was born in Brussels, Belgium. He was an Endurance racing specialist. He finished 6th at Le Mans in 1958 in a Ferrari. In 1959, he tried single-seaters, and attempted to qualify for the Monaco G.P. on board a Cooper run by the Belgian National Team. But as often the case at Monaco, there were many drivers competing for just 16 places, and he failed to qualify. He retired at the end of the season with his his best performance an 11th place in Pau.
