Popular Midget racer who was killed at the Williams Grove Speedway.

Tony Bonadies
Born in Bronxville, New York, Bonadies was a popular midget car racer. His career spanned over twenty-four years during which time he competed in more than one thousand races.

Finishing in the top six in seven out of his last eight seasons (twice runner-up), he never managed to win the ARDC Midget Championship.

He failed to qualify for the Indy 500 three times. In 1955 and 1956 he wad not quick enough, and in 1957 he crashed in Turn 4 during practice and had to withdraw from the race.

In July 1964 he driving a Frankenfield/Offenahuser midget at the Williams Grove Speedway when, as he drifted through turn 1, he lost a rear wheel and barrel rolled. Bonadies was thrown out and killed.
