Jaques Lazier
Jaques Lazier has raced part-time on the IRL IndyCar Series circuit from the start of the 2002 through the 2005 season, scoring one top five and 5 top ten results in that time.

Lazier emerged from his brother Buddy's shadow in 2001 by winning his first career Indy Racing League race and capturing two poles in just 10 starts.

The success didn't come easy for Lazier, as he has driven for various teams throughout his career.

In another partial season in 2000, Lazier captured three top-10 finishes on the way to 20th in the standings. He led his first laps of the season at Kentucky Speedway in a memorable duel with then-unknown Sam Hornish Jr., who went on to win the IRL title in 2001.

In his rookie year in 1999, 31-year-old Lazier finished 18th in the point standings after capturing four top-10 finishes. He led two races for a total of 33 laps, tops among rookies, and finished fourth in the rookie-of-the-year standings.

Before coming to the IRL, Lazier competed in the Dayton Indy Lights Championship Series, SCCA and motocross.

He lives in Vail, Colo., with his wife, Angelique, and their son, Cayden Chance.
