Indy driver who drove relief in 1953 for Carl Scarborough who later died of heat exhaustion.

Bob Scott
Bob Scott was born in Watsonville, California. He was an American racing driver who raced in the Indy 500 in 1952 and 1953. In 1952 he went out with drive shaft failure on lap 49 and in 1953 he went out on lap 14 with an ol leak. However he then drove relief for Carl Scarborough. 1953 was the year of the 'Hot One' and Scarborough sadly died later that day from heat exhaustion.

Scott was killed the following year running in a 200 mile race at the Darlington Motor Speedway.
