A South African sports car racing driver and team owner. He won the 1996 and 2005 24 Hours of Daytona and the 2005 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype drivers' championship.

In 2004, Wayne Taylor added a new chapter to his long and successful career as one of racing's most celebrated sports car drivers. Wayne, along with his team partner Riley Motorsports, entered the exciting world of Grand American Road Racing. Backed by primary sponsor SunTrust Bank, Wayne and his team compete in the Rolex Sports Car Series in the Daytona Prototypes, the premier category in the Grand American Road Racing Series.

Wayne's tenure in motorsports goes back to his childhood and most of his life has been devoted to fulfilling his need for speed. Taylor concurs, "I've never done anything else, I've always raced." His most recent venture has been involved with wearing the many hats of: Lead Driver, Primary Development Driver, and Commercial Manager for Team Cadillac for the American Le Mans Circuit. In 2005, Wayne and the SunTrust Team captured the team champion's title for the Rolex Series. Wayne also collected the top driver award sharing the replica Rolex Series Driver Champion's title with teammate Max Angelelli.

• 1994: Winner, World SportsCar Championship with Downing Kudzu-Mazda (2nd Place finishes at Rolex 24 at Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring)
• 1995: World SportsCar Championship with Momo Ferrari (Wins at Lime Rock and Texas World Speedway)
• 1996: Winner, World SportsCar Championship with Doyle Racing Riley Technologies Oldsmobile. Winner of Sebring 12 Hours and Daytona 24 Hours
• 1997: World SportsCar Championship with Doyle Racing Riley Technologies Oldsmobile
• 1998: World SportsCar Championship with Doyle-Risi Racing Ferrari 333SP. Winner of Petit Le Mans and of Prototype class at Le Mans 24 Hours
