John Reiser
John Reiser was a race car driver and successful businessman from Wisconsin, he raced on dirt tracks in Wisconsin in modifieds and late models during the late 50’s, 60’s and 70’s winning the Wisconsin Late Model Championship in 1972.

He founded Triton Trailers in Hartford, Wisconsin and later founded Reiser Enterprises in Denver, North Carolina, to further the career of his son Robbie. In 1998 Lycos came on to sponsor Reiser Enterprises and Matt Kenseth for a single event, the Busch race at Daytona. The next week John put the Lycos decals back on the car as a simple thank you for their sponsorship the previous week. Matt Kenseth won the Busch race at Rockingham that day with Lycos on the car. That simple gesture was instrumental in keeping Lycos sponsorship for the whole season long. John and Robbie provided Matt Kenseth the exposure he needed to show what he could do in a racecar.

Robbie is now crew chief in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series for Roush Racing team driver Matt Kenseth.

Reiser also served as general manager of Roush’s Busch and Craftsman Truck Series race shops, overseeing five teams. He died of Cancer in November of 2005.
