Jason Jarrett races in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. His father, Dale, and grandfather Ned were both NASCAR champions. Jason attempted to follow in their footsteps with sporadic attempts in NASCAR.

Jarrett's passion for racing is an inherited trait. Both his grandfather, Ned, and father, Dale earned NASCAR Cup Series Championships, and Jarrett's hope is to be a third generation champion and carry on the family legacy.

Jason's racing career was launched in the World Karting Association (WKA), where in 1993 he claimed the WKA's Sprint Division Championship of the Carolina's Cup at North Carolina Speedway located in Rockingham, North Carolina.

The following year saw Jarrett return to a track that had provided early success for both his father and grandfather - Hickory Motor Speedway. While competing in the Limited Sportsman Division, he scored one victory and one pole, along with earning Rookie-of-the-Year honors. In 1995, Jarrett moved into the Winston Racing Series Late Model Stock Division, where he spent the next three seasons honing his skills at the famed oval.

The 1997 season proved extremely busy for Jarrett, as he competed in a total of 46 late model events between Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Speedway located in Hudson, North Carolina. Final results for the year saw Jarrett scoring two victories, claiming two poles, with 19 top-five and 33 top-ten finishes.

On March 29, 1997, Jarrett made his NASCAR Busch Series debut at Hickory Motor Speedway, carrying on the family tradition. Jarrett's father, grandfather, and uncle (television commentator, Glenn Jarrett) all made their first NASCAR Busch Series start at the legendary short track just miles from their hometown.

Between 1997 and 2000, Jarrett competed in over 40 NASCAR Busch Series events as follows; 1997, three starts for DAJ Racing, 1998 eleven starts for this same team, 1999, nine events for BACE Motorsports; 2000, nineteen starts for Jarrett/Favre Motorsports.

In 2001, Jarrett began his ARCA RE/MAX Series career, and scored his first victory in the BPU 200 at Kansas Speedway. In addition to the victory, Jarrett accumulated an impressive 8 top-five and 15 top-ten finishes along with a pole award at Michigan International Speedway. For Jarrett, consistency provided the impetus that would propel him to a second place finish in the final ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings and earned him Rookie-of-the-Year honors.

The 2002 season saw Jarrett end the season third in points, with 8 top-five and 14 top-ten finishes. The winner's circle was just out of reach on four occasions as Jarrett scored second place finishes at Salem, Toledo and in both races held at Pocono International Raceway.

Jarrett's run in the ARCA RE/MAX Series continued through both the 2003 and 2004 seasons. In 2003, Jarrett again finished second in points with 8 top-five and 16 top ten finishes, including second place finishes at Salem and Toledo, along with third place finishes at Atlanta and Winchester. He also earned the prestigious Bill France Triple Crown Award.

2004 saw Jarrett pick up 7 top-five and 11 top ten finishes, bringing home a win and second place finish at the two Salem events, and third place finishes at Kansas and Lake Erie speedways.
