Carlos Guerrero is a former driver in the CART Championship Car series. He raced in the 1995-1996 seasons with 17 career starts, including the 1995 Indianapolis 500.

Carlos Guerrero was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and is no relation to Roberto Guerrero, who is Colombian. He started out racing karts, moving up to Formula 3 and winning the Mexican Formula 3 Championship in 1990 driving a Dasatec Reynard-Alfa Romeo. In 1991 he moved up to the Mexican Formula 3000 Championship. Driving a March-Chrysler he took the title in both 1991 and 1992. In 1991 he also made the trip to the UK to compete in three rounds of the British F3000 Championship driving a Reynard 90D-Cosworth for Mansell Madgwick Motorsport.

He returned to Mexican Formula 3 in 1993,once again winning the title, which he did again in 1994. In 1994 he also drove in sports cars partnering Ruben Garcia Novoa, winning the Mexixan Prototype Series.

He raced in the CART Championship Car in 1995 but was dropped mid season in 1996. He made 17 career starts, including the 1995 Indianapolis 500. At the start, Stan Fox, starting from 11th place, lost control and veered across the track into Eddie Cheever. Fox's car went airbourne and smashed into the catch fencing, with Stan suffering severe head injuries. Guerrero, Eric Bachelart, Gil de Ferran, and Lyn St. James were all involved in the crash and retired. Carlos' best CART finish was in 11th at the 1995 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
