Son of racing legend Mark Donohue, he is an American racing driver currently competing in the Grand-Am's Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype class for Red Bull Brumos Racing.

David Donohue
David Donohue was born in Morristown, New Jersey and is the son of racing legend Mark Donohue. He is an American racing driver currently competing in the Grand-Am's Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype class for Red Bull Brumos Racing.

He started racing in the early 1990s and in 1994 won the Bridgestone Supercar championship. He competed in the NASCAR Busch Series in 1992 and 1993 before switching to sports prototypes. In 1994 he took the GT pole at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona.

In 1997 he won the fledgling North American Touring Car championship. he followed this up with a win in the GT2 class of the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans.

He returned to the NASCAR Busch Series in 2001 competing in 12 rounds as well as three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races.

Since then he has been competing in the Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype class. In 2003 he finished runner-up with co-driver Mike Borkowski, taking victories at the California Speedway, Watkins Glen and Mont-Tremblant aa well as four pole positions.

David currently resides in West Chester, Pennsylvania with his wife, Jodi, son, Mark and daughter, Anna.
