Tried to qualify for the Indy 500 in 1931 but did not make the cut. He was killed in a midget race at Sportsmans Park, Cleveland.
Rollin May was from Toledo, Ohio. He tried but failed to qualify for the Indy 500 in 1931 and made another attempt to qualify the following year for the AAA race on the dirt oval in Detroit but once agaon did make the grid.
He was fatally injured on 04 June 1939 he lost control of his car in a midget race at Sportsmans Park near Bedford south of Cleveland. He was thrown clear when the car rolled but sadly died about an hour later.
