One of Finland's top speed skaters in the 1920s, he turned to racing and became one of the best Scandinavian drivers at the time racing a 1934 Ford V8 Special.

Asser Rafael Wallenius was born in born in Tampere. He was one of Finland's top speed skaters in the 1920s, wining the Finnish championships in 1923 and 1926. He took Bronze at the European Championships in 1922 and in the 1924 Winter Olympics at Chamonix he finished 5th in the 500m skating and 10th in both 5000m and 10000m. He was in the Bronze medal position of the last lap of the 1500m race when he fell.

Turned to racing he became one of the best Scandinavian drivers at the time. He raced a 1934 Ford V8 Roadster in the Finnish GP between 1935-1950, taking a class victory in 1947, before switching to an Allard J2 which he raced until 1955.
