East German Formula 3 driver who also raced in Formula 2. He won the DDR Voiturette Championship in 1951.

Karl Weber
Karl Weber was from Heiligenstadt in Germany. He started racing in 1949 with a BMW-engined Eigenbau (special), the Piccolo, in the Deutsche Kleinstrennwagen (Voiturette) Meisterschaft, taking a win at the Sachsenring in September.

He continued to race the Piccolo in 1950 and took part in the East German Bestenwertung "IMS" Kleinstrennwagen (Voiturette). He took wins at Sternberg and Dessau and with a second at the Sachsenring he finished the season as runner up to Willy Lehmann in his Grün WGW BMW.

Following his first Eigenbau he was back in 1951 in the DDR Meisterschaft Kleinstrennwagen with a new special, the BMW powered Seepferdchen. He had a good season winning all four rounds and taking the title with some ease.

For 1952 he raced the Seepferdchen in the DDR Meisterschaft Formula 3 Championship. The season started well with a win at Rostock. He finished second at Halle-Saale and a third at Leipzig. Lehmann had two wins under his belt and going into the last round Weber held a slender one point advantage. However in the race he could only manage third while Lehmann took the win and the title.

He raced in Formula 2 in 1953 driving the very attractive Werkmeister-BMW. He had quite a successful season and started well with a second at the Strassen-Rennen Karl-Marx-Stadt in May and took fourth places at Dessau and at Halle-Saale. He retired at the Avus and followed that with a sixth at the Sachsenring.

He also continued to race the Seepferdchen in 1953 in both the German and the East German Formula Three Championship. His best result was third in the final round of the DDR Meisterschaft Formula 3 series at the Sachsenring.

In 1954 Weber entered the races at Dresden and at the Sachsenring but did not make an appearance.
