22 time starter in the Indy 500, Snider was the 1971 USAC Silver Crown Champion and the 1981-1982 USAC Champ Car Champion.

George Snider was born in Fresno, California. He raced for many years in the USAC Silver Crown series. He also made 22-time starts at the Indianapolis 500, the most without winning. His best finish was eighth in the 1975. Snider often drove for his good friend A.J. Foyt. His last Indy was in 1987.

Snider won the 1971 USAC Silver Crown Championship and was the 1981-1982 USAC Champ Car Champion.
