Born
31 / 3 / 1966
José Luis Di Palma is an Argentine racing driver born in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires province. he started racing in karts in 1985 and the following year graduated to Formula Entrecor Nacional, winning the Championship. For 1987 he moved to Argentine Formula 3 driving a Berta MKIII Renault to 8th place with 11 points. He went one better in 1988 finishing 7th but dropped to 9th in 1989. With his career stalled in Argentina he headed for the UK and the British F3000 series. After a single drive in the German F3 series in 1991 he drove in the British F2 Championship (F3000) and seemed to have found his place. 4th in 1992 with AJS, he took two wins the following year which along with a number of podium finishes saw him end the season as runner up. He teamed up with Madgewick for 1994 once again taking two wins and a number of podiums and though he scored less points than the previous year it was enough to take the Championship. He then raced in the USA in Indy Lights but the success he had found in the UK eluded him and before long he was back in Argentina where he raced in the Argentinian TC 2000 Championship and Turismo Carretera.
