David Hunt is the younger brother of 1976 Formula 1 World Champion James Hunt.
David tried to step into the footsteps of his succesful brother, but never did better than six International Formula 3000 starts in 1988. His best result was a 7th place at Brands Hatch.
In 1990, David Hunt achieved his best racing result; in the British Formula 3000 Championship: finishing 5th at the Brands Hatch race, and collecting two championship points.
But David Hunt is most famous in racing circles, besides being the late James Hunt's brother, for buying the rights to the name of the legendary Team Lotus in the early Nineties.
