Started racing in Hillclimbs  and Sprints in 1965. Before graduating to International F3 racing throughout Europe with a Lotus 35 and a Brabham BT21 from 1968 until 1970.

In 1971 he started competing in World Sports Car Championship driving in 1000k races in the 2 litre class with a Chevron B8 in 1971. He switched to a Lola T212 in 1972. In 1976 he aquired a Lola T290 which he raced until 1982.

Raced at Le Mans from 1976 until 1980. He retired the Lola at the end of 1982 and it was left until 1991 when it was rebuilt.  It was used sparingly with appearances at the Ring and Le Mans in historic events.  It was rebuilt again and contested historic Group 4 races in 1996, 1999 and 2000.
