Dan Eaves is a British racing driver from Morton In Marsh. He started racing karts in 1990 before switching to the Halfords MG Midget Challenge in 1994, finishing 3rd. In 1995 he came second in the Caterham K Series Championship. IN 1998 he won the Renault Spider Cup and earned a test with the Williams touring car team.
He raced in the National Saloon Cup in 1999 and 2000, finishing 4th in the series both times. In 1999 he also won the China Touring Car Race at Zhuhai. In 2000 the BTCC ran a Class B for these cars, and Eaves entered 2 rounds in his Peugeot. This was enough to earn him a drive with Vic Lee's factory Peugeot team for the 2001 BTCC, in a 406.
In 2001 Eaves finished 5th in the Championship, but the series was poorly supported.
In 2002 Peugeot pulled out but the team remained, now with Halfords backing and Independent status. Eaves won the Independents Championship ahead of former Superbike racer Aaron Slight, and his team-mate Tim Harvey.
2003 saw him joined by Carl Breeze in a Vic Lee Racing built Peugeot 307. He won the Independent class on several occasions but the team pulled out leaving Dan to find a drive in 2004.
He joined Team Dynamics, driving a Honda. He took his first overall win in a round of the Championship and finished 8th in the standings.
Continuing with Team Dynamics, re-named Team Halfords, in 2005 he recorded five wins with the Honda Integra, including 3 at Thruxton - the first time that a driver has won three BTCC races at the same meeting. Finishing the season 3rd in the Championship, 2006 looked promising. Unfirtunately he was unable to find the budget to continue in touring cars.
