Apparently Chuck was a hard charging, hard drinking and not afraid to throw a punch when needed. Participant in one of the most celebrated USAC National Championship photos taken at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on September 7th, 1968.
A nice guy but not at the race track during the heat of competition and especially when he got out to of the car after a race. Chuck Booth raced BCRA midgets at Hughes Stadium and the Capitol Speedway in Sacramento.
Chuck was a solid performer running in the middle of the pack in some pretty decent equipment. He also raced in the USAC National Championship between 1962 and 1969 often running a Turner Chevy entered by Boyce Holt Racing.
