The three-hour Daytona Continental, run at Daytona, Florida, USA, is won by Pedro Rodriguez in a Ferrari 250 GTO.

John Surtees in a Lola-Climax won the Lakeside International in Australia.
1974
Tasman Series, Sandown Park won by Peter Gethin in a Chevrolet powered Chevron.
At Sandown Park in the Tasman Series, Peter Gethin took his Chevrolet powered Chevron to victory. Graham McRae from New Zealand finished second in his own McRae GM2 and Australian, Johnnie Walker took the third place prize in a Lola T330 Repco.
1983
Bruce Jacobi crashed in one of the qualifying races at Daytona. He died on the 4th of February 1987, four years later, having never regained consciousness.
