Antonio Albacete won the Spanish Fórmula Fiesta Championship before racing in other single seater series, finally making it into Formula 3000 in 1987. He then raced in Spanish Touring Cars winning the Division II Championship twice. He turned to truck racing and won the European Title in 2005 and 2006.

Antonio Albacete was born in Madrid. He started racing in karts finishing runner-up in the Spanish Championship in 1980. In 1981 he moved into single seaters and the following year won the Spanish Fórmula Fiesta Championship.

He then raced in Formula Ford, Super Formula Ford, Opel-Lotus Formula and Renault Formula finally making it into Formula 3000 in 1987.

He then spent three years in Spanish Touring Cars, from 1994 until 1996. Driving for three different manufacturers - First Opel, then BMW, and finally Alfa Romeo. He won the Division II Championship twice.

In 1996 he first drove in the European Truck Championship and in 2005 he won the Championship for the CEPSA-MAN team. In 2006 he took 7 wins, 2 seconds and 3 third places. With 12 podiums from 16 races he retained the Championship.
