Carlos Pardo was the NASCAR Mexico Series champion in 2004. He was killed in a NASCAR Mexico Series race at Pueblo, east of Mexico City.

Carlos Alberto Pardo Estévez was born in Mexico City.

He won the NASCAR Mexico Series championship in 2004 and had 10 career victories in 74 starts with 8 poles. He was third in standings in 2005 and 2006.

Pardo competed also in six races in the NASCAR Camping World East Series in 2004 and 2005 and made one Nationwide start in the 2006 TelCel Motorola 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City. He started 35th and finished 42nd after radiator problems knocked him out of the race.

Pardo was killed in a round of the NASCAR Mexico Series at Autódromo Miguel E. Abed in Amozoc, Puebla, just east of Mexico City in 2009. Driving for Motorcraft team, he had started from the back row but had his made his way into the lead. Then on the 97th lap of the 100 lap race, he was clipped from behind by Jorge Goeters, pitching him sideways into the barrier at the entrance of the pit lane. He hit the concrete barrier sideways at over 200 km/h completely destroying the car. He was transported to a local hospital by helicopter where he was pronounced dead. He was declared the winner of the race since he was leading the race at the last completed lap before the accident occurred, beating Goeters by 0.044 seconds.

Pardo's brother Ruben also competes in the NASCAR Mexico Series and finished sixth in the race that his brother won posthumously.
